Fish

Scottish progressive rock musician

Fish, born Derek William Dick on April 25, 1958, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and actor best known as the lead vocalist of the neo-progressive rock band Marillion until his departure in 1988. During his tenure with Marillion, the band achieved commercial success with albums such as "Script for a Jester's Tear" (1983), "Fugazi" (1984), and "Misplaced Childhood" (1985), which contained the hit single "Kayleigh." After leaving Marillion, Fish embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album "Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors" in 1990. He has since produced a number of solo albums, exploring various musical styles and often incorporating his poetic and introspective lyrics. Fish is also known for his charismatic stage presence and distinctive voice. Throughout his career, he has maintained a dedicated fan base and has been influential within the progressive rock genre.
