The Labrador 39 two-way loudspeaker has a front-mounted bass-reflex sound system.The atypical trapezoid-shaped box is the result of precise measurements and the chosen shape is justified. It maximises rigidity while minimising parallel surfaces. Parallel surfaces are the cause of standing waves inside loudspeakers. If a sound wave propagates between them, it will subsequently reflect off the walls like an image off a mirror and cause unwanted superposition - the phenomenon where a new sound wave meets the original wave just reflected at the same point on its journey.In such cases, some frequencies become amplified, others attenuated, and unwanted distortion occurs. The sound in such cases is unpleasant, lacking dimension and detail - a typical manifestation of cheap loudspeakers. The very shape of the Labrador 39 has minimised the effect of parallel surfaces. Another positive factor is the small surface area of the individual baffles, as small surfaces resist resonances much better.

Thanks to its concept and shape, the loudspeakers can be placed in any interior, either in furniture, directly on the wall or, alternatively, in a corner. Labrador 39 can be used as a front speaker in a smaller room, bedroom, study or as a rear (side) speakers for home cinema sets, where they are also suitable for large rooms. In all applications, the trapezoidal shape of the box is beneficial and the result will beprecise harmonic sound with a solid bass foundation, fine detail and excellent localization.

A 5" Scan-Speak mid-bass driver in a solid die-cast aluminium basket with a glass diaphragm was chosen for the installation The tweeter is a precision Vifa tweeter with a 1" fabric calotte and ferrofluid cooling. The internal interconnect cabling uses wires from the renowned US brand AudioQuest.In this price range, the chosen fitment is a significant upgrade and makes the speakers a premier in their class.

A sophisticated second-order electronic switch is located on the panel and all components are hot-soldered using the D2D method.

The natural veneer finish with matt lacquering, combined with excellent craftsmanshipand innovative shape solutions are the clear prerequisites for meeting the requirements of contemporary design.
