Yiannis Iliakis

Yiannis Iliakis, born 1982, is a multi instrumentalist and composer from Athens, Greece. His main instrument is the drums where he has extensive experience and degrees from esteemed music schools. Iliakis is a founding member of the free jazz band Outward Bound as well as a member of the progressive rock band CICCADA. He is a partner in the artist collective “Free the soprano player” and coordinator of the “Freedom Day” Jazz Festival in Crete. Besides numerous collaborations with bands and artists in the jazz/free improvisation/ experimental and rock spectrum he composes electronic and ambient music.
