Nigerian-British Composer and Multi-Instrumentalist

Born 28 January 1972 Tunde Jegede is a multi-instrumentalist who has worked across several genre's, including Classical, Hip Hop, West African music and New Age. He plays the Kora (the West African 21 string harp lute), piano, cello, bass and is an accomplished percussionist. Tunde has been commissioned by, and composed Classical works for, several international orchestras including: The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Viva Sinfonia, The National Orchestra of Belgium, The Prince Klaus Foundation of The Netherlands, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and many more. Former member of The African Classical Music Ensemble (ACMEN). He has written and composed three Opera's and produced 3 Hip Hop albums for notorious Spoken Word Artist HKB Finn. Tunde's father is Emmanuel Jegede. He's also the brother of Maya Sona Jobarteh (their mutual mother is Galina Chester, they have different fathers).
