German Black Metal Band

Tsatthoggua was a German black metal band known for their extreme style and controversial lyrics. Formed in 1993, the band's name is derived from a deity in H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Tsatthoggua gained attention in the underground metal scene with their raw and aggressive sound, which was coupled with provocative and often sexually explicit themes. The band released their debut album "Hosanna Bizarre" in 1996, which showcased their distinctive blend of black metal with elements of thrash and death metal. They followed up with the EP "Trans Cunt Whip" in 1998, further cementing their reputation for pushing boundaries within the genre. Tsatthoggua continued to perform and record until they disbanded in 2000, leaving behind a legacy that influenced later extreme metal acts. Their final release was "Hallelujah Messiah," which was a compilation album featuring previously unreleased material. Despite their relatively short career, Tsatthoggua left an indelible mark on the black metal scene with their intense performances and unapologetic artistic vision.
