The Trash Can Sinatras

The Trash Can Sinatras

Scottish indie pop band

The Trash Can Sinatras are a Scottish indie pop band that formed in Irvine, Scotland in 1986. The band is known for their melodic, jangly guitar-driven sound and literate, clever lyrics. They gained critical acclaim with their debut album "Cake" in 1990, which featured the single "Obscurity Knocks," and followed up with the album "I've Seen Everything" in 1993, which continued to build their reputation for sophisticated pop music. Despite never achieving massive commercial success, the Trash Can Sinatras have maintained a loyal fan base and continued to produce music over the years. Their subsequent albums include "A Happy Pocket" (1996) and "In the Music" (2009), among others. The band has experienced various lineup changes throughout their career but has remained active, touring and releasing new material, including their most recent album "Wild Pendulum" in 2016.
