The Longshot is a side project formed by Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the American punk rock band Green Day. The band emerged in 2018 and released their debut studio album "Love Is For Losers" in the same year. The Longshot's music style is reminiscent of Green Day's punk rock roots but also explores a more garage rock and power pop sound. Alongside Armstrong, the group includes guitarist Kevin Preston, drummer David S. Field, and bassist Jeff Matika, who has also been a touring member of Green Day.
