Norwegian Industrial Metal Band

The Kovenant is a Norwegian band that has undergone significant stylistic evolution since its formation. Originally named Covenant, the band was established in 1992 by vocalist and keyboardist Lex Icon (born Stian André Hinderson, also known as Nagash) and guitarist Psy Coma (Amund Svensson). They started out as a black metal band but later shifted towards a more industrial and symphonic metal sound. The Kovenant gained international recognition with their second album, "Nexus Polaris," released in 1998, which won them a Norwegian Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album. This success marked a high point in their career, showcasing their ability to blend elements of symphonic metal with the aggression of black metal.
