American Hard Rock Trio

Talas was an American rock band that formed in the late 1970s in Buffalo, New York. The band was led by bassist Billy Sheehan, who is known for his virtuosic playing style and later gained fame with other acts such as David Lee Roth's band and Mr. Big. Talas never achieved major mainstream success, but they were influential in the hard rock and heavy metal scenes, particularly in the Northeastern United States. They released several albums throughout the 1980s, with their self-titled debut album coming out in 1979. The band's lineup changed several times over the years, but they remained a popular live act with a dedicated fan base. Despite not having widespread commercial success, Talas is remembered for their musicianship and for Sheehan's pioneering bass techniques.
