Hungarian Conductor

Stefan Soltesz is an esteemed conductor with a career that spans several decades, during which he has led numerous orchestras and opera companies around the world. Born in Hungary in 1949, Soltesz grew up in Austria and studied music in Vienna. His professional career began as a répétiteur and conductor at the Vienna State Opera, after which he held positions at various German opera houses. He served as General Music Director of the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra from 1997 to 2013, where he was praised for his interpretations of both operatic and symphonic repertoire.
