Spain

Spain

Spanish flamenco fusion group

Spain is an American band founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1993 by Josh Haden, son of jazz double bassist Charlie Haden. Known for their sparse, melancholic sound that blends indie rock with jazz and blues influences, Spain is often associated with the slowcore movement of the 1990s. Their debut album, "The Blue Moods of Spain," released in 1995, received critical acclaim and established their subdued and introspective musical style. Over the years, Spain has undergone several lineup changes with Josh Haden remaining as the core member and primary songwriter. The band has continued to release albums and maintain a cult following, with their music often characterized by its emotional depth and soulful melodies.
