Somali Yacht Club is a Ukrainian band that blends elements of stoner rock, psychedelic rock, and shoegaze to create their distinctive sound. Formed in Lviv in 2010, the trio consists of members Ihor Sydorenko (guitar, vocals), Artur Savluk (bass), and Lesyk Mahula (drums). They have garnered attention within the heavy psych and stoner rock communities for their atmospheric and melodic music. The band's debut album "The Sun" was released in 2014, followed by "The Sea" in 2018, showcasing their ability to craft expansive soundscapes with a mix of heavy riffs and dreamy melodies. Their music often features long instrumental passages, evoking the vastness of the environments suggested by their album titles. Somali Yacht Club has continued to build their international presence through these releases and by performing at various festivals and venues across Europe.
