Snafu

Snafu

Snafu was a British rhythm and blues/rock band that was active in the 1970s. The band was formed by former Procol Harum and Freedom vocalist Bobby Harrison and featured guitarist Micky Moody, who later became well-known for his work with Whitesnake. Snafu's music combined elements of blues, country, and funk, showcasing their versatility and musicianship. They released their self-titled debut album "Snafu" in 1973, which was followed by "Situation Normal" in 1974. Their sound was characterized by a blend of soulful vocals, slide guitar work, and a tight rhythm section. Despite showing promise and having a distinctive sound for the era, Snafu did not achieve significant commercial success and eventually disbanded. The live music scene of the 1970s was vibrant, and Snafu contributed to it with performances like the one captured in "Live Nottingham 1976," which showcased the band's live prowess. Micky Moody's career continued to flourish after Snafu's disbandment as he went on to achieve fame with Whitesnake.
