Slowly Rolling Camera

Slowly Rolling Camera

UK Jazz and Trip-Hop Ensemble

Slowly Rolling Camera is a band that blends elements of jazz, trip-hop, and electronic music to create a distinctive sound. Formed in Cardiff, Wales, the group was initially conceived as a studio project by keyboardist-composer Dave Stapleton, producer Deri Roberts, vocalist-lyricist Dionne Bennett, and drummer Elliot Bennett. Their self-titled debut album "Slowly Rolling Camera" was released in 2014 to critical acclaim within the jazz and crossover music scenes. The band's music is known for its cinematic quality, with lush arrangements and emotive melodies that have drawn comparisons to the likes of Portishead and Massive Attack, as well as jazz influences from the ECM label. Following their debut, they continued to evolve their sound with subsequent albums such as "All Things" and "Juniper," further establishing their reputation for crafting atmospheric and evocative compositions. Slowly Rolling Camera has also been recognized for their dynamic live performances, which showcase the synergy between the musicians and their commitment to pushing musical boundaries.
