Skye Edwards, known simply as Skye, is a British singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the band Morcheeba. Formed in 1995, Morcheeba is recognized for their downtempo style of music that blends influences from trip-hop, rock, folk-rock, and electronica. Skye's distinctive voice has been a defining element of the band's sound. Throughout her career with Morcheeba, the band has released several albums that have achieved international success, including "Big Calm" (1998) and "Fragments of Freedom" (2000). In addition to her work with Morcheeba, Skye has pursued a solo career, releasing her own albums such as "Mind How You Go" in 2006 and "Keeping Secrets" in 2009. Her solo work continues to showcase her unique vocal style and artistic versatility.
