Shlohmo, the stage name of Henry Laufer, is an American electronic musician and producer known for his lo-fi, atmospheric approach to beat-making. Emerging from the Los Angeles beat scene, Shlohmo has been associated with the Wedidit collective, which he co-founded. His music often blends elements of abstract hip hop, electronic music, and R&B. Over the years, Shlohmo has gained recognition for his unique sound and has released several albums and EPs that showcase his evolving style. Notable releases include "Bad Vibes" in 2011, which established his reputation for moody and introspective tracks. He continued to build on this with subsequent projects like the "Vacation EP" in 2012, "Dark Red" in 2015, which presented a grittier, more intense sound palette, and "The End" in 2019, which delved into themes of apocalypticism and finality.
