Sense Field

Sense Field

Post-Hardcore Band Reunites for Tour

Sense Field was an American post-hardcore band formed in 1990 in Southern California. The group initially gained attention within the hardcore punk scene, but they later expanded their sound to include more melodic and emotional elements, aligning with the burgeoning emo movement of the 1990s. The band consisted of founding members Jon Bunch (vocals), Chris Evenson (guitar), Rodney Sellars (guitar), John Stockberger (bass), and Scott McPherson (drums). Sense Field released several albums throughout their career, including "Killed For Less" in 1994, their self-titled album "Sense Field" in 1996, and "Living Outside" in 2003. They were known for their introspective lyrics and a sound that blended intensity with melody. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Sense Field maintained a dedicated fan base and influenced many artists within the post-hardcore and emo scenes. The band eventually disbanded in 2004 but briefly reunited for some shows before the untimely passing of lead singer Jon Bunch in 2016.
