Swedish hardcore punk band

Refused is a Swedish punk rock band originating from Umeå and formed in 1991. The band is composed of vocalist Dennis Lyxzén, guitarist Kristofer Steen, drummer David Sandström, and bassist Magnus Flagge. Refused is known for their revolutionary approach to hardcore punk, incorporating a diverse range of influences including jazz and electronica into their sound. They initially disbanded in 1998 after the release of their seminal album "The Shape of Punk to Come," which was subtitled "A Chimerical Bombination in 12 Bursts." This album pushed the boundaries of the genre with its innovative structure and political lyrics, and it has since been regarded as a landmark release in punk music.
