Porches is the synth-pop music project of New York-based musician Aaron Maine. The project gained recognition with the release of the album "Pool" in 2016, which showcased Maine's shift from indie rock to a more synth-driven sound. Porches' music is characterized by introspective lyrics, electronic textures, and a blend of melancholy and danceable rhythms. Following "Pool," Porches released "The House" in 2018, further exploring electronic sounds and personal themes. In 2021, Porches continued to evolve with the album "All Day Gentle Hold!", offering a rawer, more immediate approach to songwriting and production.
