Pale Saints

Pale Saints

British shoegaze band

Pale Saints were an English alternative rock band that formed in 1987 in Leeds. The original lineup consisted of Ian Masters (bass/vocals), Chris Cooper (drums), and Graeme Naysmith (guitar). They were associated with the shoegazing scene, a subgenre of indie rock characterized by its ethereal mixture of obscured vocals, guitar distortion, and effects. Pale Saints signed with the influential British independent label 4AD, through which they released their debut album "The Comforts of Madness" in 1990. The album received critical acclaim and helped establish the band's presence in the indie music scene.
