Noise Unit

Industrial electronic music project

Noise Unit is a Canadian industrial music project that was formed in 1989 by Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly as a side project. The group also included Rhys Fulber, also of Front Line Assembly and later of Delerium, among other collaborators over the years. Noise Unit's sound typically features a blend of electronic industrial and EBM (Electronic Body Music). Throughout their career, they have released several albums that have contributed to the landscape of industrial music. Their discography includes titles such as "Grinding Into Emptiness" (1989), "Response Frequency" (1990), "Strategy of Violence" (1992), "Decoder" (1995), "Drill" (1997), and "Deviator" (2005). The project is known for its experimental approach to electronic music, often incorporating harsh rhythms, layered synths, and samples. Noise Unit's work has been influential in the industrial genre, and they have maintained a cult following among fans of electronic and industrial music.
