Michael Feinstein

Michael Feinstein

American Traditional Pop and Jazz Singer

Michael Feinstein is an American singer, pianist, and music revivalist renowned for his commitment to preserving the Great American Songbook. Born on September 7, 1956, Feinstein has built a distinguished career by interpreting, performing, and celebrating the music of classic American composers such as George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, and Duke Ellington. He began his career as a piano prodigy and later worked as an assistant to Ira Gershwin, which gave him access to numerous unpublished Gershwin songs that he would later perform and record.
