Me First and the Gimme Gimmes is a punk rock supergroup and cover band formed in San Francisco in 1995. The band is known for their energetic punk rock renditions of classic songs from various genres, including pop, R&B, country, and show tunes. The lineup consists of several established musicians from other well-known punk bands: Spike Slawson (Swingin' Utters) on vocals, Fat Mike (NOFX) on bass, Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) on guitar, Joey Cape (Lagwagon), and Dave Raun (Lagwagon) on drums. They have released numerous albums throughout their career, with "Blow in the Wind" (2001) being a collection of 1960s pop and rock covers, "Have Another Ball!" (2008) featuring outtakes from their earlier albums, and "Sing In Japanese" (2011), which saw them covering Japanese songs. Their approach to music is characterized by humor and irreverence, often adding a playful twist to the songs they choose to reinterpret.
