Mayhemic Truth

Mayhemic Truth

German Black Metal Duo

Based in Germany, Beliar (guitar/vocals) and Balor (drums) formed Mayhemic Truth in 1992, heavily inspired by the music of Bathory. In 1993 they recorded their first demo, "Son Of Dawn", and it was self-released in a limited edition of 100 copies. In 1994 Beliar and Balor recruited Lilith to play bass, and they recorded their second demo, "Promo '94". Following the release of "Promo '94", Mayhemic Truth performed as a supporting act on the "Sons of Northern Darkness" tour in Germany. After the tour Lilith left the band, but Beliar and Balor continued performing live gigs as a duo. In 1995 Mayhemic Truth entered the studio to record a 7" EP, entitled "Cythraw", released on Folter Records. Following the release of "Cythraw", they toured with Countess, Mortuary Drape and Drowned. In 1995 they participated in the first "Under the Black Sun" festival in Brohm and the first "Fuck Christmas" Festival in Berlin. In 1996 Mayhemic Truth entered the studio again to record their third demo, entitled "Demo '96". After this release they played some more live gigs, and in 1997 they released a live recording on cassette, entitled "Live In Bernhausen". In May 1997 the band split up. In 1999 Iron Pegasus Records released "In Memoriam", which combined the previously released "Cythraw" EP and "Demo '96". In 2000 Beliar and Balor came together once again to form the viking/black metal band Morrigan.
