Lunatic Soul is the solo project of Mariusz Duda, the lead vocalist and bassist of the Polish progressive rock band Riverside. Established in 2008, Lunatic Soul serves as an outlet for Duda's more personal and experimental musical explorations, often delving into ambient and electronic music territories, which are distinct from the heavier and more guitar-driven sound of Riverside. The eponymous debut album "Lunatic Soul" was released in 2008, showcasing a mix of atmospheric soundscapes and melancholic melodies. Over the years, Lunatic Soul has been prolific in its output, with subsequent albums like "Walking on a Flashlight Beam" (2014) and "Through Shaded Woods" (2020) further developing the project's signature sound.
