Lost Bodies

Lost Bodies

Greek Experimental Music Duo

Thanos Kois (Θανάσης Κόης) and Antonis Papaspyros (Αντώνης Παπασπύρος) started palying together in the mid-80's in Kallithea, Athens (Greece). The first name they used was "Us and Us", then changed it to "Μαουρίτσιο Τερσίνι Όρκεστρα" and then settled to Lost Bodies. The duo released 2 DIY cassettes in 1988, Δο Ντίεση and Αναρόφηση Τροφής. Kois then moved to Korinthos and Papaspyros moved to the island of Rodos, and they lost track of each other. Kois continued doing scattered recordings with Μιχάλης Γαλαίος in the following years, also releasing the track "Stretch Reflex" in 1991 (on 7'' compilation Frafmenta II). In 1997, Γιάννης Αγγελάκας gave a call to Kois, asking him to make a cd compilation of the two previous cassettes. He also got Kois in touch with Papaspyros again, and Thessaloniki label Lazy Dog Records, released Ζωή that same year. This release helped restart the project, and Kois also put a full band together for live shows (Papaspyros didn't participate on the shows though). In 22/5/2010 they performed live at Mikropolis (Thessaloniki). Lost Bodies went on to release 9 albums, 1 live LP and 2 more compilations in the following years. Track were composed either by Kois and Papaspyros, or Kois and the live band, but all songs were released under the Lost Bodies name. After the release of 2018's album "Specific Ocean", Papaspyros departed.
