Kin Ping Meh

German rock band

Kin Ping Meh was a German rock band that formed in the late 1960s. Their name is derived from the title of a Chinese fairy-tale which can be translated as "The Precious Vase." The band was part of the Krautrock movement, which encompassed a wide variety of experimental and innovative music coming out of Germany during that time. Kin Ping Meh's music incorporated elements of hard rock, progressive rock, and blues. They released their self-titled debut album "Kin Ping Meh" in 1971, which showcased their blend of heavy guitar riffs and melodic organ passages. Over the years, they went through several lineup changes and stylistic shifts but remained active in the music scene throughout the 1970s. Their work is characterized by its fusion of traditional rock structures with the more avant-garde sounds that were emerging from Germany during that era.
