Ill Wind

Ill Wind

Ill Wind was a Boston-based psychedelic rock band that formed in the mid-1960s. They were part of the vibrant Bosstown Sound, which was a term coined to represent the Boston music scene of that era. The band's lineup included Ken Frankel (guitar, banjo, violin), Richard Griggs (guitar, vocals), Michael Walsh (woodwinds), David Kinsman (bass), and Conrad Isidore (drums). They released their only album, "Flashes," in 1968, which has since become a collector's item due to its limited pressings and the band's cult following. The album is known for its blend of folk-rock and psychedelic sounds. Despite their potential and the quality of their music, Ill Wind did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded shortly after releasing their album. Their work, however, continues to be appreciated by aficionados of the genre and period.
