R&B vocal group

Ideal was a German new wave band formed in Berlin in 1980. The group is considered one of the pioneering bands of the Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) movement, which combined punk, electronic, and pop music into a new and distinctive sound. The original lineup consisted of Annette Humpe (vocals and keyboards), Ulrich De Jesus (guitar), Ernst Ulrich Deuker (bass), and Hans-Joachim Behrendt (drums). Ideal quickly gained popularity with their self-titled debut album "Ideal," released in 1980, which included hits such as "Blaue Augen" and "Berlin." Their music was characterized by catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and socially aware lyrics that resonated with the youth of West Germany.
