German Post-Black Metal Band

Heretoir is a German post-black metal band that was formed by Eklatanz in 2006. The project began as a solo endeavor but eventually expanded to include additional members, evolving into a full-fledged band. Heretoir's music is characterized by its blend of black metal elements with post-rock and shoegaze influences, creating atmospheric and emotionally charged soundscapes. The band's self-titled debut album, "Heretoir," was released in 2011 and received positive reviews for its melancholic melodies and introspective lyrics. Following the success of their first album, Heretoir continued to develop their sound and released "Substanz" in 2012, which is a compilation album featuring re-recorded demo tracks, unreleased material, and new songs. In 2017, they released "The Circle," an album that explores themes of life's cyclical nature and personal growth. Throughout their career, Heretoir has been recognized for their unique approach to metal and their ability to convey deep emotions through their music.
