Hardrock Gunter

Hardrock Gunter

1950s Rockabilly Pioneer

Born 27, February 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama - † 15, March 2013. US singer, songwriter and guitarist of Rhythm and Blues, Country and Rockabilly. In the 60's, he left the music business to develop a career in insurance in Colorado. He retired to Rio Rancho in New Mexico. Note: credits that either are the Gunter's real surname alone (or misspellings thereof) or include the real forename (or its initial) belong to his Sid Gunter real name profile. Beginning in about 1963 and for decades following, Gunter was miscredited on many record labels for a song actually written by Mann And Weil titled, "Where Have You Been (All My Life)," owing to a title similarity.
