Eduardo López Banzo is a Spanish harpsichordist and conductor, renowned for his expertise in the performance and interpretation of Baroque music, particularly that of Spanish composers. Born in Zaragoza, Spain, he has established himself as a significant figure in the early music revival movement. López Banzo founded the ensemble Al Ayre Español in 1988, which has been instrumental in bringing to light lesser-known works of the Spanish Baroque repertoire. Under his direction, Al Ayre Español has received critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Spanish National Music Prize in 2004.
