Deeds Of Flesh

Deeds Of Flesh

American Technical Death Metal Band

Deeds of Flesh were formed in the US in 1993 by Jacoby Kingston (bass), Erik Lindmark (guitar, vocals) and Joey Heaslet (drums). In 1994 the EP "Gradually Melted" was released through various labels. The album received worldwide attention and in 1995, after several offers, they were eventually signed to Repulse Records. This lead to the release of their first full-length, "Trading Pieces", in 1996. It was followed by "Inbreeding the Anthropophagi" in 1998 and featured Brad Palmer (drums) because Joey had left the band. Same year they also managed to re-release the EP "Gradually Melted" which was re-mastered and came with new artwork. After the release Jim Tkacz (guitar) was added to the line-up along with the returning Joey Heaslet. They then recorded "Path of the Weakening" which was released through Unique Leader Records in 1999. After seveal tours in North and South American, festivals and such, Jim Tkacz left the band. Jared Deaver (ex-Impaled, ex-Severed Savior) replaced him and Mike Hamilton (ex-Vile) replaced Joey who had left once again. After many tours Jared was forced to leave the band. In 2001 "Mark of the Legion" was released and they were also joined by Aaron Gustafson (guitar). Three of their earlier works were re-mastered and re-released throughout the years and in 2003 they released their fifth album, "Reduced to Ashes".
