Cretu And Thiers

Cretu And Thiers

German Pop Duo

Cretu and Thiers was a musical duo consisting of Michael Cretu and David Fairstein. Michael Cretu is best known for his work with the project Enigma, a musical act that achieved widespread success in the early 1990s with hits like "Sadeness (Part I)" which blended Gregorian chants and dance beats. Before his success with Enigma, Cretu collaborated with singer-songwriter David Fairstein under the name Cretu and Thiers. In 1987, they released an album titled "Belle Epoque," which did not achieve significant commercial success. The collaboration was short-lived, and both artists continued their separate careers, with Cretu focusing on Enigma and becoming a prominent figure in the new-age and electronic music scenes. David Fairstein's contributions to music are less well-documented, but he is known to have worked with Cretu on Enigma's first album, "MCMXC a.D." as a co-writer for some tracks.
