Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a rock band formed in 1995 by two former members of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug "Cosmo" Clifford. The band was created following the dissolution of CCR, which was active from 1967 to 1972 and was known for its influential swamp rock style and hits like "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Fortunate Son." Creedence Clearwater Revisited was established to perform live versions of the original band's music, providing fans with an opportunity to hear classic CCR songs performed live, as the original group had disbanded and its members had gone their separate ways.
