Circa Survive is an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in 2004. The band is known for its distinctive sound that merges elements of progressive rock, post-hardcore, and emo. The group was founded by vocalist Anthony Green after he left his previous band, Saosin, and joined forces with members from the now-defunct This Day Forward. Circa Survive quickly made a name for themselves in the alternative music scene with their debut album "Juturna" (2005), followed by their second album "On Letting Go" (2007), which further solidified their standing with fans and critics alike.
