Christie

Christie is a British rock band formed at the end of the 1960s. They are best known for their hit single "Yellow River," released in 1970. The band was originally composed of Jeff Christie (vocals, bass, songwriter), Vic Elmes (guitar), and Mike Blakley (drums). "Yellow River" became a chart-topping hit in the UK and an international success, propelling the band to fame. Following this success, they released "San Bernadino," which also gained popularity though not to the same extent as their debut single. Christie's music is characterized by its melodic pop-rock style, which was particularly appealing during the early 1970s. Despite changes in lineup and periods of inactivity, Christie left a mark on the rock scene with their catchy tunes and are remembered for their contribution to the era's music landscape.
