Armida Quartett

Armida Quartett

German Classical String Quartet

The Armida Quartett is a renowned string quartet that has made a significant impact on the classical music scene since its formation in 2006. Comprised of four talented musicians, Martin Funda (violin), Johanna Staemmler (violin), Teresa Schwamm (viola), and Peter-Philipp Staemmler (cello), the quartet is named after the opera "Armida" by Joseph Haydn, reflecting their dedication to the classical repertoire. The ensemble quickly gained recognition for their dynamic and expressive performances, winning first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2012, which served as a major milestone in their career.
