Jazz Fusion Drummer and Percussionist

Alphonse Mouzon was an American jazz fusion drummer and percussionist, a founding member of the seminal jazz fusion group Weather Report, and a prolific artist in his own right. Born on November 21, 1948, in Charleston, South Carolina, Mouzon's powerful drumming style blended jazz, funk, and rock influences. Throughout his career, he worked with a wide array of musicians across various genres, including Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck.
