The young Brit has shaken up the music scene in 2018 with his debut album, The Underrated Youth EP, featuring the songs "Parents", "Hope For The Underrated Youth" and "Original Me" - the latter featuring Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds. The heavily political track "Hope For The Underrated Youth" premiered in the summer of 2019 and was accompanied by a fan event featuring Yungblud himself on a boat ride on the Thames. In keeping with the song's content, snippets of lyrics were projected onto the Houses of Parliament. Yungblud is one of the most polarising artists on the contemporary music scene and is part of a new movement in the alternative and pop-punk world.
