Weather Report: Heavy Weather version on vinyl LP in Remastered edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Music On Vinyl in cooperation with Columbia on 31. July 2015.

Weather Report's seventh album was originally released in 1977. It is the band's second album with bassist Jaco Pastorius, but "Heavy Weather" marks his first appearance as a full band member, while "Black Market" features him on only two tracks. The opening track of "Heavy Weather", "Birdland", was a commercial success, which may not have been typical for instrumental music. "Heavy Weather" was released at a time when the jazz rock/fusion movement was running out of breath, and shows that despite everything, there was still creative life in the genre.
