Weather Report: Black Market version on vinyl LP in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Music On Vinyl on 15. November 2011.

Weather Report were one of the most influential jazz-fusion bands of their time and outlasted many of their contemporaries, such as Herbie Hancock's Headhunters and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Although the musicians changed frequently during the band's sixteen-year history, they continued to create groundbreaking music under the leadership of Joe Zawinul. Band members Zawinul, Shorter and Moreira had already played in Miles Davis' bands, so the first incarnation of Weather Report was a direct link to Miles' "In A Silent Way"/"Bitches Brew" period. When bassist Jaco Pastorius joined the band in 1976, the band's most successful phase began with the album "Black Market". The sixth album is influenced by African music. Combined with jazz, the genre of "World Fusion" is created. Review. (Good Times, February/March 2012)
