"Contraband" is the widely acclaimed debut album from VELVET REVOLVER, originally released in 2004. The supergroup is made up of former GUNS N ROSES members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, along with Dave Kushner (ex-WASTED YOUTH) and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS vocalist Scott Weiland. "Contraband" reached number one on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum. Commercial success came with the singles "Slither" and "Falling To Pieces", which both reached number one on the mainstream rock chart; the third single "Dirty Little Thing" reached number eight. For the song "Slither", VELVET REVOLVER won the 2005 Grammy Award for "Best Hard Rock Performance". The album "Contraband", originally released in 2004 and long unavailable, is now available in a re-release on vinyl to mark the 10th anniversary of its release.
