After a successful first CD, the second part of the exclusive folk songs project of the CARUS Folk Songs Edition is now a plea for folk songs in their unadulterated and unused form: the beauty of their melodies and the poetry of their lyrics. As in the case of the highly successful Wiegenlieder project by Carus and SWR 2, the best German-speaking singers take on a repertoire that is as rewarding as it is difficult. 2 euros from every CD sold will again be donated to the projects of Aktion Herzenssache e. V., an organisation that promotes singing in children. As a result, projects amounting to approximately 200,000 euros have been supported so far.
Album spans genres Folk, World, & Country, Folk and Volksmusik.
