X is released in a double CD format including a 16-page booklet. The French label TIGERSUSHI of Paris-based electro(nic) specialist, DJ and producer JOAKIM (LONE OCTET), one of the most distinctive and (stylistically) free-spirited in the genre, celebrates its tenth anniversary. To celebrate this anniversary, a double CD compilation is out now, for which the label boss has assembled a full line-up of artists. The two programmatically arranged long players, each containing ten tracks, offer a select mix of the label's hits and classics, as well as a number of previously unreleased (exclusive) numbers. CD 1 (Easy) showcases the wave-pop side of the label with artists such as PONI HOAX, DYE, KRIKOR, PANICO, MY SISTER KLAUS and DESMOND & THE TUTUS, while CD 2 (Hard) explores the more electronically experimental dance realm with its exciting JOAKIM mixes (K.I.M., CRACKBOY, GUILLAUME TEYSSIER, DISCIPLINE and MAESTRO). More G. D.M. X is an excellent retrospective of the label's work and a promising glimpse into its musical future.
