Van Halen: Balance version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Warner Bros. Records on 24. January 1995.

On January 24, 1995, Van Halen's fourth album with Sammy Hagar on the microphone was released. Like the three previous albums, Balance reached number one on the US charts without any detours, unimpressed by the popularity of grunge. Unfortunately, Balance became Sammy's last recording with the Van Halen brothers. And of course, Van Halen still sound like Van Halen, but the foursome of California rock stars are in their mid-nineties and probably slowly coming of age. Maybe that's why Balance seems more mature. Eddie's instrument has a more open sound than before, one might say: more surface area than slab. Of course, the master can still show all his guitar competitors where the hammer hangs, but mostly he plays in a songwriting and creative way.
