Grammy-nominated band TRIVIUM will release their tenth album, "In The Court Of The Dragon", on October 8th via their longtime label Roadrunner Records. The album was produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur and recorded at Full Sail University in Orlando in the fall of 2020. The band also released a new song, "Feast Of Fire", for which they filmed the official music video. The footage was shot at the band's headquarters - a hangar in Orlando. It was shot by director John Deeb. "When you start writing a new album, there's always one song you don't expect," says bassist Paolo Gregoletto about the song, giving an insight into the band's songwriting process. "It could be a riff written on the spot in the rehearsal room, a lyric that fits the melody exactly, or in the case of 'Feast Of Fire' it was right in front of us in the middle of a demo that Corey [Beaulieu, guitar] brought in. We were in the pre-production phase of Full Sail when we all decided that something about the demo we recorded was good, but it could be even better. Our producer Josh Wilbur even wrote in his notes: "The bridge is special, maybe so special it needs its own song. We took the song apart and started over on the spot." He continues, "We approached this album knowing that we had time to think about everything that came to mind during that time, and that we could start over if it didn't feel right, because there were no tours in sight." On that, he says: "The words 'Feast Of Fire' were on my running list of notes for lyric ideas that I try to collect before recording. Something about that line caught my attention. It felt like a missing piece of the story we were trying to tell on this album, like the climax and the real center of the story." He concludes: "Even after all these years, it still amazes me how a song can come out of nowhere and take an album to a place you didn't expect. Those are the moments we're always looking for when we make a record." The album cover is an original oil painting by French artist Mathieu Nozieres. "While the music for 'In The Court Of The Dragon' was taking shape, we knew we needed an epic work of art like you might see on the wall of a major museum by a long-dead Renaissance master," says guitarist and vocalist Matt Heafy. "After an extensive search, we found one of the few living artists capable of creating works like Caravaggio and Gentileschi - the painter Mathieu Nozieres. Mathieu took the title of our song and created an original oil painting on canvas that we could never have imagined. It's so amazingly breathtaking and epic, and it looks exactly like the song and the album."
