Foreign Affair, released in 1989, is the eighth studio album by Tina Turner . The album was recorded in London and Los Angeles and produced by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle. The album reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned four hit singles: "The Best", "Steamy Windows", "What's Love Got to Do with It" and "I Don't Wanna Lose You". Foreign Affair received positive reviews from music critics, who praised Turner's vocals and the album's production. It ranked 97th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 best albums of the 1980s. The album was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and sold over four million copies in the United States.
