The Miles Davis Quintet: Cookin' DLX | LTD version on vinyl LP in deluxe limited edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Jazz Images on 12. April 2019.

Miles Davis' first classical quintet was formed in 1955 and is widely considered one of the best combos in jazz history. Cookin' was the first of a series of four albums the group recorded between May and October 1956. The program features some pieces that the quintet played live, and others that were apparently improvised on the spot and never recorded before. Sonny Rollins' "Airegin'" was recorded by Miles with Milt Jackson and Rollins on June 29, 1954 for the album Bags' Groove. "Blues by Five" attributed to Miles and Red Garland is most likely a blues written on the spot. As a bonus, two tracks from the quintet's first prestigious LP were added.
