50th Birthday Reissue The Kinks' album "Arthur (Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire)" celebrates its 50th birthday in 2019. Originally released on October 10, 1969, it is the seventh album by the British rock icons. To mark the anniversary, three reissues are now out: a double-CD, a double-LP and a 50th Anniversary Box Set with four CDs, four 7" singles, a book and other extras. The first two CDs of the box set contain the album in newly remastered mono and stereo versions (both with seven bonus tracks). CD 3 contains music from Dave Davies' lost solo album. Disc four offers a collection of demos, rehearsal recordings and remixes. In total, there are 81 tracks - five unreleased songs and 28 unreleased versions. The four 7" singles include "Drivin", "Victoria", "Shangri-La" and "Hold My Hand" (Dave Davies solo). The 50th anniversary box set of "Arthur" is accompanied by a 68-page book with essays and new interviews with Ray Davies, Dave Davies and Mick Avery. The box set also includes reproduced photographs and posters and a badge. In addition, "Arthur" is also available as a double CD with a remastered stereo version of the album and a solo album by Dave Davies. The double LP combines the stereo version on the first LP with a selection of rarities on the second. The Kinks celebrate the 50th birthday of their classic album "Arthur (Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire)".
